This page lets you choose which official Dead Souls mud to connect to, and how. You can always just use your regular telnet program or mud client, but the anyterm web terminal client used here is useful and can get through various kinds of restrictive firewalls and configurations.

Pluses and minuses:

A direct connection lets you use whatever client you want, but you might not be able to access Dead Souls muds if you're behind a very restrictive firewall.
The standard web connection lets you connect from almost anywhere, but some places do weird web caching that makes it seem like you're lagging hard.
The secure web connection tends to be faster, and it's secure. The drawback is that when you first connect, you'll probably get an error from your browser, and will need to accept an SSL exception.
